Comhairle Meetings in Uist

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar's Committee Meetings on 23 and 24 April will take place at Cnoc Soilleir, Daliburgh and Vatersay Hall, Vatersay. The meetings at both venues are open to the public and the Comhairle is encouraging attendance.

Loch a Tuath elects three members of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and is situated north-east of Stornoway, comprising three principle areas: Tong, Back and Tolsta, all traditional crofting villages.

Each area has its own primary school catering for children aged 5 to 11 and provision for toddlers. There are three active Community Councils. There are several community groups in the area; including Back Football Club which has been in existence since 1933 and North Tolsta Historical Society
